Another resolution?!!

Image
What! Another resolution? You may ask. I have been struggling (or failed miserably - depending on how you look at it) with my new year resolution and now want to have another one? Well, why not? Depending on which school of thought you belonged to or believed in, from what I'd read in one of those articles on this resolution thingie, it is advisable to have more than one resolutions. So that at the very least you could achieve one of those that you have resolved. And be proud of yourself. If you only have one, once you could not achieve it, then you failed big time. And be a loser for the rest of your life. The experts were also divided on the question whether it is better to resolve quietly and keep it to yourself or to go around and tell every other person that you know or in this case, tell the whole wide world about it. The former gives you the advantage of nobody knows whether or not you have keep up with your resolutions. Well, no brainer. Nobody knew whether you have any re

Waah, how nice blogging in the comfort of your private garden. You can smell the freshness of the newly-cut grass. Especially if the grass was cut by none other than YOURSELF. Proud of myself. There is a sense of accomplishment. Blogging and grass cutting..... 2 in 1. Pictures later. I'm still trying to figure out how to beam the pictures from my handphone to my computer via gigi biru (bluetooth). Have a good day!

Salam Maal Hijrah

Amin Ya Rabbal 'Alamin. Note to self: Kena try balik awal hari ni. Ada ceramah maal hijrah kat surau dekat rumah. InshaAllah.

Dialog Hari Ahad

Day: Sunday Venue: Mark & Spencer, KLCC Yang, Ayang tak curiga ke suddenly Abang beli baju-baju macam ni? Mmmm, curiga jugak. Kenapa? Ye lah, dah lah selalu balik lambat, makin hari makin sibuk kat ofis. Mana lah tau kan..... He heh he ..... mana ada. UPDATED @ 2.45 p.m. You can never fool an OTAI (Old Timer) or more specifically, you can never fool someone who has been in journalism for more than 20 or 30 years. I clocked in office early today to prepare for myself for a presentation that I have to make at a client's office. Then I thought I have a little time to try to write something in my blog. And Kak Teh was the first to comment on my desperate attempt to update my blog. She said ".....yang abang tanya ayang tu apa pasal? rasa bersalah ke? heheh! aiyayayaya! ya laaa, mana ada....!:). good attempt to update ." Yes, Kak Teh, I admit. I am guilty. That was my desperate attempt to keep up with my new year resolution . So much so that I had to resort to writing a

WARNING: This is not an update!

Okay, before you accuse me of forgetting my new year resolution, let me apologise. I have not forgotten nor have I abandoned my resolution to blog more often. The truth is, I am busy, no I am very busy....errr actually super busy. Yeah, you may say, 'What's new about it?' Others are busy too. The truth is, I have been strecthed thiiiin (dah lah memang kurus!) after the internal rationalisation of the 3 departments at my office. Suddenly from supervising a department of 6 lawyers and about 12 clerks, now I have to supervise 5 more lawyers and another dozen of clerical staffs. Not a good ratio isn't it? Some of them I'm still struggling to remember their names. Since the beginning of the year, I have been having two to three meetings a day, every day. It's not like I did not try to blog. I actually have not one but four entries in draft form that I managed to write half-way, but never got them completed and uploaded. Most of the time, after coming back home late i

Baru or Baharu?

If you noticed, RTM used the word "tahun baharu" in its tv promo for the new year. Even its presenters consciously used the said word when they were reading out news items on the new year celebrations. But other tv stations used "tahun baru". Even the print media too used "baru" instead of "baharu". So which one is correct?

New Year Two Double 'o' Seven

I hope it is still not too late to wish all of you kind visitors, a Happy New Year. And Salam Aidil Adha too. Hope the new year will bring joy and lots of happiness to all of us. This year is going to be a challenging year at the office. Last Friday, the managing partner after discussion with other partners has come to the conclusion that we need to merge and rationalise two departments to become one big division. And that new division is to be headed by ME!. Whilst I am honoured with the trust and their belief in me, actually I'm a bit.......concerned (for lack of better word) about it; whether or not I'm up for the challenge. The department that I am taking over has a lot of potential, but the people there were underperforming; they need constant supervison to minimise slacking; they need support and hand holding. So looks like I'm gonna be more occupied this year. Hope I still have time to blog. Now, let's make that as a new year resolution - TO BLOG MORE OFTEN! God
