ORDINARY SUPERHERO

Scene malam tadi: Akid sambil berbaring atas katil, mata tertumpu kepada kepada I-Phone Baba dan tangan sedang sibuk negotiate corner dalam game kereta racing, secara selamba aje cakap, "Baba, ....Baba dah tengok ke jam baru Baba; kitaorang beli untuk birthday Baba...." Serentak, kakak2 semua terkejut, "Ala....apa Akid cakap kat Baba....kita kan nak surprise Baba....." Tanpa rasa bersalah Akid buat tak tahu aje dan terus sambung main game kat I-Phone. I just played along...."Yay yea....kita dapat jam baruu...yay yeay.....". Bersempena dengan my birthday this Sunday, dengan sukacitanya saya mengisytiharkan bahawa semua orang KL tak payah datang opis pada hari Isnin ni, I declare public holiday! Currently I am under extreme pressure to complete and deliver documents to clients. So stressed out!!! This is not good. My hectic schedules from last year continued to this year without any break. It's that time of the year again - my yearly trip to the Immigration Department to renew my maid's working permit. Though so far my experience at the immigration office have been okay, but still I hate to go there. Firstly, you could only get a parking space at LG4 and it's dark and sometimes the staircase was littered by empty alcoholic cans. Secondly, there are so many people! I hate crowded places. And their counters and waiting areas are all packed because of  the small space. But then what choice do I have? My trip today was the fastest of my all previous trips. I took my number at 11.52AM and the slip showed there were four people ahead of me. Two did not turn up when their numbers were called up. When my turn came, just gave my maid's passport to the lady at the counter number 9, then made payment at counter 4, then back to counter no. 9 and .... done! In about ten minutes I were already on my way out of that dark and unkempt parking place. Kudos to the

Thank God it's already Friday! Akid was happy because today was the last day of school day of the week. So far, he didn't miss a day yet. But every morning he would have caused heart attack to his Ibu. No sooner than the second day of schooling, he woke up and declared to his Ibu that, "Akid nak cuti...." After rounds of coaxing, pujuking, carrying around - sampai ke bilik air bla, bla bla - Alhamdulillah dia pergi jugak la ke sekolah. The third day was also the same drama. That prompted me to take down our house calendar and showed him that his off day would only start on Saturday. I marked them clearly so that he could look forward to the weekend. See this..... I purposely wrote big letters "AKID CUTI" for him to see. Yesterday the smart boy made a deal with me. "Baba, kalau Akid pegi sekolah lama-lama boleh la Baba beli apa-apa" "OK, nanti Baba beli apa-apa untuk Akid." Since that "apa-apa" could mean j

Akid this morning, all geared up to attend his first day at kindergarten. Muka bukan main happy dan confident, tapi bila dah masuk kelas.....mula tak nak berenggang dengan Baba dia. Teacher suruh duduk pun siap duduk atas riba Baba. Nasib baik bila kena masuk ke kelas Ibu pimpin dan lepas tu dia okay. Lepas tu Baba tinggalkan Ibu mengintai dari luar kelas sebab Baba dah janji nak jumpa Kak Chik kat kantin sekolah dan bawakan roti kaya untuk Kak Chik.

Selain Kak Chik yang akan memulakan sesi persekolahan di Tahun Satu sekolah rendah pada hari ni, sebenarnya ada seorang lagi anak Baba yang akan mula bersekolah (kembali). Ha ha ha.....ya, sebenarnya Baba juga masih lagi cuak dan suspens samada Akid akan ke sekolah (dan terus bersekolah) kali ni. Jika tahun 2009, Akid hanya bersekolah lebih kurang seminggu di sekolah tadika yang sama dengan Kak Chik. Tetapi sepanjang seminggu tu Baba kena tunggu sampai waktu habis sekolah. Kebetulan lepas tu Ibu bersalinkan Arif, jadi Akid selepas tu terus tak pergi sekolah. Sepanjang cuti sekolah yang baru lalu, Ibu bawakkan Akid meninjau tak kurang dari 4 buah sekolah tadika di sekitar perumahan kita. Akid akhirnya menunjukkan minat untuk bersekolah di sekolah tadika yang lain dari sekolah tadika terdahulu Akmal dan Kak Chik. Akid masih tidur lagi, sekarang ni Baba nak kena hantar Kak Chik ke sekolah dengan Kak Long dan Kak Ngah dulu. - Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone

Hari ni hari pendaftaran dan orientasi murid tahun satu sesi 2010 bagi kebanyakkan sekolah. Kak Chik akan memulakan fasa baru persekolahannya di sekolah 'betul' selepas dua tahun belajar di sekolah tadika. Selamat menghadapi dunia baru di sekolah sayang.
